New this year! One of the showiest goldenrods, with stiff, narrow-leaved, reddish stems that remain erect.  Dense, erect, terminal clusters of tiny, bright yellow flowers bloom mid-to-late summer.  Not as aggressive as some goldenrods.  Easy to grow but will topple over if moisture is excessive or plants are fertilized.   Remove spent flower clusters to encourage blooming.  Clumping plants may need to be divided every 2 to 3 years.  Attracts butterflies, beetles, large numbers of native bees, and predatory insects that prey on pest insects.  Tolerates drought, dry soil, poor soil, and clay soil.
