Description
(Calycanthus florid.): 4-10’ x 5-12’, dense, rounded. 1-2” red-brown flowers with delicious fragrance of strawberry-banana-mango, May-July. Twigs/bark fragrant when cut. 3-6” lustrous dark leaves, soft yellow in fall. Moist to medium, prefers rich soil. Use by doors/patios for flower fragrance; shrub borders, massing. Native Maryland south. Butterflies, Birds.
