Description
(Betula nigra): (5 gal) 45-50’, multi-trunk, fast-growing, airy canopy, very attractive salmon-pink to red-brown bark, peeling to patches of cream, orange, and pink-tan. Shiny triangular leaves, good yellow in fall. Medium to wet soil, seasonal floods tolerated, most trouble-free birch. Specimen or in groups, great winter interest. Butterflies, Birds. Stream Buffers.
