Description
Hydrastis canadensis): (1 qt) 6-12” x 14”, bold perennial. 1 showy ¾” April-May flower, made of 50 spreading white stamens with pale chartreuse tips. 1 showy raspberry-like scarlet fruit, late summer. Moist cool rich humusy loamy soil. Excellent for woods, shade, wild gardens. CT native. Historical medicinal. Bees, Birds.
