Description
(Aronia melanocarpa): (3 gal) 3-6’, upright. Showy white April flowers. Large glossy leaves, brilliant reds/oranges in fall. Big purplish-black fruit. ‘Viking’ bred to be sweeter than the unimproved sour fruit of species. Aronia fruit higher in anti-oxidants than any other temperate-zone fruit (even blueberries, cranberries) by a factor of 3. Soil adaptable. Use in juices, jams, syrup. Bees, Butterflies, Birds.
