Description
(Arctostaphylos uva-ursi): (4” pot) 3-8” x 2-4’ woody evergreen; fine-textured expanding dense mats. Small thick glossy paddle-shape leaves; bronze-red in winter. Pretty white-pink urn-flowers, Apr.-May. Round bright-red 3/8” fruits, Jul.-Aug., into winter. Poor infertile very-well-drained soils. 4-season interest. Masses, slopes, edging, walls. CT native. Bees, Butterflies, Birds. Erosion Control.
