The CT State Flower! Cultivar is very similar to the species. Slow-growing, broadleaf evergreen shrub with dark green glossy leaves and showy flower clusters in late spring. Pink flower buds open to cupped white to pale pink flowers with purple dot markings. Avoid windswept sites. Attracts butterflies, hummingbirds, and songbirds.
