An exceptional bumblebee plant! Showy, clump-forming perennial. Erect, leafy stems terminate in spikes of bright blue, tubular flowers that bloom late summer. Needs constant moisture so mulching is beneficial. Divide clumps in spring as needed. Short-lived, but self-seeds and produces offsets from lower leaf axils that quickly put down their own roots. Attracts hummingbirds, butterflies, and native bees, especially bumblebees.
