Mounded, evergreen perennial with leathery, dark green leaves and upright stems. Profuse lavender/white tubular flowers bloom on stems late spring to early summer. Foliage turns bronze-red in fall and winter. Susceptible to root rot if grown in poorly-drained soil. Tolerates drought once established. Attracts butterflies and native bees.
