Rubus ‘Chester’ (thornless)
One of the more winter hardy and productive thornless varieties! Semi-erect canes grow to 3-4 feet. Clusters of white, 5-petaled, rose-like flowers in spring give way to firm, glossy blackberries of excellent eating. Produces large, sweet high-quality fruit with good flavor, ripening in August. Plants are vigorous, winter hardy and disease resistant. Grow in sun to part shade, and moist soils.
