CT River Coastal Conservation District 2021 Native Plant and Plug Sale!

ORDERING IS NOW CLOSED FOR THIS YEAR’S PRE-ORDER ONLY PLANT SALE. Thank you for supporting our sale, which was a big success. Stay tuned for information about our 2022 sale!

If you placed an order we will be contacting you soon to schedule a pick-up time, as well as sending you a sales receipt. We had an overwhelming response to our sale, and thank everyone for your support!

Pick-up for our 2021 CT native plant and plug sale is at the Chester Fairgrounds, April 23-24, 2021 (see times below). Due to the large number of orders we’ve received, we may be extending pick-up to Sunday, April 25.

Our 2021 plant sale will be held April 23-24 at the Chester Fairgrounds, Kirtland Terrace, Chester. All plants must be ordered in advance; there will not be any extras available at the Fairgrounds. Order pick-up will be scheduled in advance and will take place, Friday, April 23, 9:30 am – 6:00 pm, and Saturday, April 24, 9:30 am – 5:00 pm. Sign-up information will be provided after orders are placed.

This year’s sale features a wide variety of shrubs, ground covers, edibles, evergreen trees, flowering perennials, ferns, grasses and sedges. Evergreen trees are being sold as plugs instead of bare root seedlings; plugs don’t have to be planted immediately, have less transplant shock, and have a greater survival rate. We are also offering a selection of flowering perennial landscape plugs, which can be purchased here. These are a low cost and easy way to plant a landscape.

As in the past, our plant selections feature a variety of pollinator plants, edible landscaping plants, wet-loving plants for rain gardens, and plants suitable for waterside buffer gardens.

Thank you for supporting our annual plant sale, which is our main fundraising event. All proceeds are used for conservation, environmental education, and technical assistance programs.

Have fun shopping!
