  • POW- Planning of Wetlands

OUTDOOR CLASSROOM

Many schools have created a nature trail or outdoor living classroom on school grounds.  This Schoolyard Habitat can become a wonderful setting for literature and math in addition to Science Education.  Your school can even be certified by the National Wildlife Federation as a wildlife habitat. NCD worked as part of a team to establish SHN, the Connecticut Schoolyard Habitat Network.  To learn more, visit www.ctwoodlands.org/shn.html
