FREE Workshops During the Sale

Saturday, April 21 at TAC in Vernon

9:30 - 11:00am   Planting and Pruning Basics, with Outside Demonstration

In conjunction with this year's annual NCCD Spring Seedling Sale, Rob Rocks of the Connecticut Department of Environmental Protection is presenting two workshops - One on the history of Connecticut Forests:  Past, Present Future, and also a Planting and Pruning Basics class at the Tolland County Agricultural Center. People who were picking up their new flowers, trees and shrubs from the plant sale are able to learn more about the history of how Connecticut's forests have evolved over time, as well as how to plant and take care of their plants.  A slideshow will be shown on proper maintenance and how to get the most out of your garden, and an outside demonstration will allow attendees to view a successful and functional garden environment. Hopefully the knowledge gained will lead to some beautiful and thriving gardens all around Hartford and Tolland Counties!

Additional Free Workshops are being offered throughout the Spring - click here for details!
