Stock Your Pond With Fish Fingerlings!
Our 2010 Fish Fingerling Sale is slated for October 30, 2010! Stock your pond with a variety of fish, including:
- Brown, Rainbow, or Brook Trout
- Large-mouth Bass
- Bluegill
- Channel Catfish
- Fathead Minnows
- Pond Shiner Minnows
We will also be selling bales of Barley Straw and Wood Duck Boxes to maintain good pond health and attracting wildlife.
ORDERS WILL BE DUE BY WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 13 2010.

Everyone who orders fish must also fill out the CT DEP Fish Liberation Permit Application and SUBMIT IT ALONG WITH THE ORDER FORM. This year the DEP is allowing the NCCD fax the applications, eliminating the need for your original signature on the form. This will simplify and expediate the application process.

Challenges and Successes: Working Cooperatively to Manage Invasive Plants

All who are interested in invasive plant issues are invited to attend. This symposium seeks to draw together municipal staff (parks and recreation, public works, inland wetlands/conservation commissions), nursery, tree and landscape professionals, educators, students, landscape architects, gardening enthusiasts, state and federal employees, and members of conservation organizations and the public into a discussion of the challenges presented by invasive plants and how we can promote natives by managing invasives.
The Keynote Speaker will be Dr. Bernd Blossey, Associate Professor from Cornell University. Dr. Blossey’s presentation is entitled, “The power of choice: new frontiers in invasive plant management and conservation.”

- $40 if postmarked by September 18
