To NWCT Selectmen, Energy Task Force Leaders, Cornwall Residents, and Energy Stakeholders
The Cornwall Energy Task Force invites you to hear Linda Darveau, our EPA New England Representative, and Bob Wall, Connecticut Clean Energy Fund Director of Energy Marketing Initiatives, present the new online tools, programs and resources available to your municipalities, businesses and residents that will assist in your energy conservation plan.
The first step to reducing energy use is to benchmark your current use. You can't manage what you don't measure-benchmarking gives you an idea of how much energy your town is currently using, and helps you to set priorities for energy efficiency projects. [We] will review two free software tools that will help your town begin managing and reducing the use of energy.
-Linda Darveau, US EPA Environmental Scientist and CT Representative
We will also be celebrating Cornwall’s achievement of meeting the EPA Green Power Community Challenge first in New England!
Congratulations to Cornwall on its great accomplishments as a CT Clean Energy Community and the first in the state to become an EPA Green Power Community. I will also use this opportunity to challenge other towns to join these programs and hope to announce new incentives that the CT Clean Energy Fund will be issuing to motivate communities.
-Bob Wall, Director, Energy Market Initiatives, CT Clean Energy Fund
