The ECCD, Inc. is a not-for-profit, 501(c)(3) agency whose programs are financed through municipal and private contributions, EPA/CT DEP Section 319 Clean Water Act grants, the Fee Bill and our annual tree seedling/plant sale and trout fingerling sale.

The federal, state and local budget problems are reducing our annual operating  income more and more each year.  This causes us to rely more heavily on our sales and contributions from conservation-minded private citizens for funding our projects.  Since we are recognized by the Internal Revenue Service as a not-for-profit agency, contributions are tax-deductible within the applicable IRS regulations.

There are several ways you can support us and thus contribute to conservation efforts in Eastern Connecticut.

We need volunteers to help us on specific projects such as our annual plant sale.

Additionally, while our Board of Directors is full we are always looking for dedicated individuals who wish to be nominated when current board members retire.

You can purchase gift-certificates for family and friends. Stay in touch with us and don't forget to subscribe to our quarterly newsletter.

Contributions in any amount are gratefully accepted and much appreciated! Below are some particular contributions we would like to acknowledge:

United Community and Family Services' Retired Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) who graciously coordinates the mailing of our quarterly newsletter.

The Town of Lisbon which graciously provides facilities for our monthly Board of Directors meetings,

The Davey Tree Expert Company which generously provided equipment and personnel for assisting us in clearing brush from our Stewardship Land,

Leslie Sweetnam, a local pilot and aerial photographer generously has given us several flights to aerially overview and survey the Quinnebaug and other rivers in Northeastern Connecticut,

and we would also like to very much thank Ocean State Job Lot and the Windham County Agricultural Society for their bighearted donations of space for our annual tree seedling and plant sale.
