District Vision: Provide technical assistance and environmental education to promote sound natural resource management utilizing a watershed approach.

Primary Activities

1. Conduct projects that demonstrate or test new conservation methods

2. Present workshops on natural resource topics

3. Assist Town “Land Use” Commissions with environmental reviews of development plans

4. Work with local citizens and towns to raise awareness of natural resource concern

Scott Gravatt, Executive Director

Scott

Scott has over 25 years of experience dealing with a wide variety of environmental issues. His strengths are balancing conservation with land use and coordinating projects that achieve meaningful results.

Judy Rondeau, Natural Resource Specialist

 

Judy serves the ECCD as both a Natural Resource Specialist and the Niantic River Watershed Coordinator. She has an MS degree in Natural Resource Management, and a background in water quality, municipal wetlands regulation and environmental education.

 

Kate Johnson, Administrator

Kate's administrative background includes work with alternative energy and conservation. She maintains a cooperative team spirit and loves working with the public.

Jean Pillo, Watershed Conservation Coordinator

Jean has an MS degree in Biology and is involved with local and regional watershed initiatives throughout eastern CT.  Contact her if you would like to become involved in volunteer water quality monitoring.
