Third Annual Connecticut River Watch Program Fundraiser a Great Success!

On September 7, 2007, a beautiful summer evening, the Conservation District held its third annual Swallow Cruise and Wine Tasting to benefit the Connecticut River Watch Program. Participants enjoyed a tour of the lower CT River aboard the RiverQuest cruise boat, guided by Captain Mark Yuknat; tasted a variety of local wines provided by Priam and Chamard Vineyards; ate delicious hors d'oeuvres from Feast Gourmet Market featuring locally grown food; and, at dusk, were treated to a spectacular "Swallow Ballet."
