The Soil & Water Fall Newsletter for 2011 is now available, containing information on the dreaded Brown Marmorated Stink Bug, local watershed management plans, and as always, interesting upcoming events and classes on the community bulletin board. Download it here.

The Soil & Water Spring Newsletter for 2011 is now available, containing information on local nature centers near you, the 2011 Plant Sale order form, and of course, interesting upcoming events and classes on the community bulletin board. Download it here.

February 15th - 2011 Plant Sale information added

It's almost that time again... The 2011 District Plant Sale will take place on April 29th and April 30th this year, with a wide variety of plants from local grower Perennial Favorites. For more information visit our Plant Sale page, or download the order form here.

October 7th - We've Moved!

The Southwest Conservation District office has moved from Wallingford to the USDA Forest Service building at 51 Mill Pond Rd. in Hamden, CT. We're still getting things sorted out, but if you would like to contact The District, you can email us at swcd43@sbcglobal.net..

September 24th, 25th - Wallingford Rod & Gun Club pond E&S Installation

The Southwest Conservation District with Wallingford Rod & Gun Club members and volunteers, installed 700 feet of coir fiber logs backed with erosion control blankets to stabilize their pond's eroding shoreline.
